I am a population and community ecologist. I work mostly with parasitoid wasps and their butterfly hosts.

The Metacommunity Ecology Group (People) studies processes affecting community structure and dynamics in a patchy landscape. We examine the interplay of local interactions among species with landscape scale processes. Our primary research system is the community associated with the Glanville fritillary butterfly (Melitaea cinxia). Within that community we mainly focus on parasitoids and hyperparasitoids, though we also work with related butterflies, their food plants, and plant and insect diseases.
