Amy R. McCune

Biographical Sketch

Amy McCune is a Professor in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and the Faculty Curator of Fishes at the Cornell University Museum of Vertebrates. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Biology at Brown University in 1976 and her Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at Yale University in 1982, she spent a year as a Miller Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley. She then joined the Cornell faculty in 1983. At Cornell, she is a member of both the Graduate Field of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and of the Field of Zoology.

McCune is currently a member of the Board of Governors of the American Society of Icthyologists and Herpetologists and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Paleontological Research Institution. She is a past member of the Council of the Society for Systematic Biology, the Council of the Society for the Study of Evolution, and a past Associate Editor for the Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology.
