Stepfanie Aguillon

Graduate Student in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology

Stepfanie graduated from the University of Arizona where she completed her BS (2013) and MS (2014) in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology working with Renée A. Duckworth. Her research addressed how personality and interactions between kin can influence dispersal and population dynamics in western bluebirds (Sialia mexicana). For her dissertation, Stepfanie is interested in using genomic techniques and behavioral ecology in the northern flicker (Colaptes auratus) to understand the speciation process and the genetic underpinnings of phenotypic traits.
