Getting to Ithaca and Cornell University

Airports

Tompkins Regional Airport

Phone: 1-607-257-0456

 Web: www.FlyIthaca.com

Note: flyers into Ithaca can get a taxi into downtown Ithaca or Cornell University at a cost of $16 plus a $1 baggage fee.  If multiple people are taking the taxi then it is $16 for the 1st person and $8 for each additional person if you are going to the same place plus the same baggage fees (This may vary slightly depending on the cab-driver but I wanted everyone to know what to approximately expect).  There are also buses that run fairly frequently downtown and to the campus for a cost of $1.50 one-way (Check the TCAT: Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit schedule. The airport is approximately 10-15 minutes from downtown hotels and about the same distance from Cornell University.

On the above TCAT website you will want to type in the following routes in the trip planner section to check schedules:

Those staying at the Holiday Inn (Origin: Airport, Destination: Green@Commons)

Those staying in on-campus housing (Origin: Airport, Destination: Stewart@University)

Those coming directly to the Workshop (Origin: Airport, Destination: Corson/Mudd Hall)

Syracuse Hancock International Airport

Note: flyers into Syracuse will have an approximately 1 hour ride into Ithaca so you will either need to rent a car or arrange another mode of transportation.  There is a shuttle bus that runs back and forth from Ithaca to Syracuse but you will need to make prior arrangements with the shuttle company.
