The EGU General Assembly will bring together geoscientists from all over Europe and the rest of the

world into one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, Planetary and Space Sciences. Especially

for young scientists the EGU appeals to provide a forum to present their work and discuss their ideas with

experts in all fields of geosciences. The EGU is looking forward to cordially welcome you in Vienna!

Isoscapes 2008

Santa Barbara, CA, from April 8-10, 2008

http://www.isoscapes2008.org

Isotope Mapping and its Applications is an interdisciplinary

conference featuring the latest work on the analysis of spatial

isotopic variation in environmental systems.  The meeting will feature

presentations on spatially distributed isotope data networks, emerging

technologies for collecting spatially explicit isotope data, modeling

and prediction of spatial isotopic variation in the environment, and

applications of spatial isotopic variability in a wide range of

research endeavors.  Poster sessions,

working group sessions, optional tutorials, and conference meals will

offer additional opportunities for presentation and discussion of

research work and networking.

14th Canadian Continuous Flow Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (CF-IRMS) Workshop.

http://cfirms2008.webhop.org

The workshop runs from June 15-18, 2008 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan,
Canada on the University of Saskatchewan campus. It brings together
researchers, technicians, graduate students and manufacturers from
around the globe in a casual setting to discuss the technical issues
surrounding Stable Isotope Analysis. Students may compete for a student
prize as described on the web site.  The focus of the workshop is not on
specific scientific results and interpretation of data, as in other
conferences. Instead, this is an opportunity  to discuss problems and
advances in CF-IRMS measurement techniques.  Professors, lab managers,
technicians, and grad students alike all benefit from  the experience.

The 6th International Conference on
Applications of Stable Isotope Techniques to Ecological Studies

Honolulu, Hawaii
25-29 August 2008

The aim of this Conference is to assemble an international group of isotope scientists engaged in ecological research and for these delegates to share their ideas and state-of-the-art science.  Another aim is to identify gaps in our knowledge in the field of ecology, and where future stable isotope research and interdisciplinary efforts could be best applied. These goals will be accomplished through oral and poster presentations and, informally, through discussions and debate during social events.
